I shaved my beard yesterday. That should make me sexier.
I walked around for 20 minutes with a mustache. Mustache was definitely not sexier.

You are not a man who is capable of the mustache. But you had to know that. Keep the goat or go clean. The only other option is to go full Israeli mustache and apply for the waiver.
